  • System Administrator

    Vidrio Financial (www.vidrio.com), with its global headquarters in New York and offices across the world, is at the forefront of technology in the financial services sector. Partnering with the largest investment banks, insurance companies, and endowments worldwide, we are renowned for our cutting-edge technological innovations. We are on the lookout for a seasoned System Administrator to join our team, tasked with the critical role of managing our extensive Cloud Corporate  Network.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    - Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking, expertise in internet protocols, DNS, and related technologies.

    - In-depth experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and extensive knowledge of serverless architectures.

    - Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.

    - Proficiency with Microsoft Intune\Autopilot for seamless device deployment and configuration.

    - Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.

    - Exceptional management, analytical and problem-solving abilities, adaptable, with a strong emphasis on building interpersonal relationships.

    - Candidates must be highly goal-driven, with a profound commitment to achieving measurable outcomes. We expect the candidate to enter a management track and be capable of effectively managing internal and external teams.

    Desirable Qualifications Include:

    - Solid understanding of Windows OS, both client and server versions.

    - Experience managing firewalls and implementing security policies.

    Educational Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or comparable professional experience.

    All interviews will be conducted in English. This is a hybrid position. Travel for extended periods may be necessary based on business requirements. Our Pavia (Italy) office will be conducting the initial interviews.

I joined Vidrio as a Junior Quantitative Research Associate. My major responsibility was monitoring periodic exposures and risk statistics for a number of hedge fund portfolios through analyzing their holdings and PnL files on behalf of a number of institutional investors. Now I am a Senior Quantitative Research Associate, and my role transitioned to be more about risk management. I am also involved in special projects related to new risk products, models, metrics, or internal risk system enhancements.I am grateful for all the opportunities and support that Vidrio has provided me on my career path. I’ve met incredible mentors and colleagues who are always willing to share knowledge and provide valuable insights that have guided me in overcoming obstacles during the work. Vidrio emphasizes teamwork, encourages open communications, and supports us to participate in professional development programs. Vidrio’s culture not only makes me feel valued but also motivates me to contribute my best to achieve our shared goals.
